Survival rate when due
to Premature rupture of membranes = 61%.
Survival rate when due
to Renal anomalies 0%.
Shipp and co-workers (2).
Survival rates were
dependent on the whether the oligohydramnios was present in the second or
third trimester (10.2% versus 85.3%).
The more severe the
oligohydramnios the higher the perinatal mortality and the increased risk
of pulmonary hypoplasia.
In the presence of
severe oligohydramnios (subjective), the perinatal mortality was eight
times greater than the group with moderate oligohydramnios.
Anhydramnios -
uniformly fatal (0% survival).
